Mistwood Golf Course first opened their doors in 1998 as a space just outside of the city where people could go to relax. Throughout its creation, the founders put thought into every detail. They brought in award-winning architect Raymond Hearn to design the verdant course. The clubhouse was built as a tribute to Scotland, the home of golf. Today, the land continues to feel like an escape. The entire property exists outside of time, giving you the perfect experience no matter what you are looking for!
Details of the Grounds
Mistwood Golf Course has designated spots where you can host every second of your wedding. The morning of your event, you will be escorted to the dressing rooms, where you can put on the finishing touches before it’s time to formally begin. Most people choose to hold their ceremony outside. The venue offers a paved terrace where your guests can sit and watch as you exchange vows. The pad looks out over the perfectly manicured lawns across the course. As the sun starts to set, the area is illuminated by string lights.
The bar for the venue is located just inside the clubhouse. For your cocktail hour, your guests can order drinks to enjoy on the neighboring covered patio.
Your reception will be held inside the Scottish-themed clubhouse. The front of the room features a fireplace you can adorn in your decorations. The room is simple, with white walls offset by dark wainscotting. With enough space for up to 250 guests, you will be able to have your dream celebration!
Photography Opportunities
The golf course is rich with dreamy spots you can use for your photos. One of my favorite places is the stone bridge that takes you across the creek. When you use it for your couple’s portraits, you will feel as though you’ve just stepped out of the pages of a fairytale! The terrace tends to be a favorite spot for pictures with your entire wedding party.
