Kimmy & Eric – Bird haven greenhouse – Warehouse 109 – Plainfield Il – Wedding

After about 2.5 years of being together the day has finally come for “ I Do’s & forever yours”. I arrived at Kimmy’s house to get some detail/getting ready shots and I was handed a pair of the most adorable orange Toms. The best part was what her soon to be husband Eric had written on the bottom of them. “As you wear these shoes and with each step you take, know that I will always love and be with you. You are forever my soul mate.” My heart melted.

Eric proposed to Kimmy At Navy Pier at the top of the Ferris Wheel. Kimmy – much like myself – is not a fan of Ferris wheels. Being so high up in the air with this giant reoccurring moving and stopping wheel tends to bring out some fear for some people. After a lot of hesitation and a very persistent boyfriend not willing to take “NO” for answer, Eric finally got Kimmy on this giant dreadful contraption. As they reached the top Eric got out of his seat and down on one knee asking the love of his life to be his wife. Overcoming fears, going on adventures together, making memories and replacing bad ones with good ones – that’s what love is all about. Now anytime Kimmy thinks of Ferris Wheels she will remember one of the happiest moments in her life.

The birdhaven greenhouse ended up being the perfect place to capture some formal photos as the colors combined perfectly with their gray bridesmaid dresses and yellowish/orange flowers. Warehouse 109 added just the right amount of rustic charm to their ceremony and reception.

Their love for each other as well as their love for God just radiates. It’s inspiring and infectious in the best way possible. Kimmy has the biggest heart and passion for helping others. Her smile just lights up the room and Eric has one of the best laughs I have probably ever heard. You cannot possibly know these two and not adore them. The extensive wedding party and large number of family and friends who came to celebrate them just shows how much they truly are loved.

Congratulations to you both! It was an honor being a part of your special day. I cant wait to see what God has in store for you both!
